” Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And, most importantly, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
This was a widely circulated quote last week when the news of Steve Jobs’ death was made public. I honed right in on the words “courage to follow your heart and intuition” because that’s one of the things I talk about a lot. It takes courage to listen to that inner voice because there are times where it might suggest you zig when everyone else is zagging.
Which means attracting attention to yourself.
Being noticed for being different.
Can you do it?
Steve Jobs did. He listened to what his inner guidance was saying and he followed it whether or not others went with him. Is that what’s called “enlightenment”? Is it courage? Is it pieces-parts of a lot of things?
Yes to all of that.
See what amazing things one man accomplished by listening and acting on the guidance he had within?
What can you accomplish by listening to yours?
