You’ve probably noticed that it’s a little crazy out there now. Financial markets are all in a tizzy, politics is … well, a big mess and everyone seems scared about what the future will bring. And not just for them but for the world at large.

Things are in a huge state of flux, that’s for sure.

Here’s my advice to you: Stay out of the fear vibration.

Fear, and particularly fear for your very survival, is a primal emotion. It *moves* you to do something.

The media, politicians and others who try to manipulate you for their gain know this and use it to their advantage all the time. And advantage can be as simple as more page views for their site (which equals more advertisers which equals more money) to using money you send in support of their cause only to learn it’s for their own personal gain.

In times like this when markets are crashing and we hear more and more stories of layoffs and other things, it’s easy to go to that place of fear and hopelessness. You meet others online who share that fear and forum after forum is filled with it. It becomes overwhelming and drags you down.

For those of us who are sensitive to that kind of vibration, the answer is easy. Don’t go to those places where it gets stirred up.

I don’t read the papers, watch network news or hang out in online forums filled with that energy. I can’t. It drags me down and then I’m no help to others.

I work for a financial services firm and let me tell you, it’s been a rough few days. I had a co-worker ask me if I could wave a magic wand and make the markets go up. “Alas, no” I said. “But you can hold a higher vision and vibration for yourself and your clients so you’re not down there in the fear vibration with them.”

I’ll tell you the same thing. Hold a higher vision and vibration. As a country, as a world, we are really going through some challenges. Acknowledge that and keep walking, doing your best to hold the Light for others who can’t quite do that yet.  There are more of them out there than you know.

(Edited to add: My wonderful mentor and teacher Andrea Hess is apparently on the same wavelength.  Check out her latest post called “It’s not me, It’s YOU!”)
