Podcast #52 You say goodbye and I say hello!

Hi and welcome to the very last Practically Intuitive podcast.  This is Lisa from practicallyintuitive.com and yep, you heard me. This is the last podcast I’ll be doing but before you grab Kleenex and sob your heart out, I have good news!

My good friend AJ McClary from OpenPsychic.com and I are teaming up to bring you double the fun and information on things woo and non-woo.  Like me, AJ has some pretty strong opinions and while most times we seem to agree, there may be times we don’t.  Come along for the ride with us as we navigate the way forward out of 2012 and into the *new* new age!

These little podcasts started out with me and my pal Kara doing them a year and a half ago and when she had some other commitments in her life take her attention away, I moved forward and did them on my own.  I’ve covered topics ranging from working with your guides and teachers in spirit, why it’s beneficial to cut an energetic cord of attachment, why you don’t want a cosmic 2×4 coming at you and much more often using my own life as the canvas  for showing you how this all works together.

As I look back over what I’ve shared, it becomes clear to me (and possibly you) how passionate I am about living a conscious life.  If I could drag all of you into it, I’d be happy but I’d also be negating your free will and I’m pretty sure there’s some badass karma associated to that.

Let me define what I mean by living a conscious life so we’re on the same plane:  I found this really nice explanation at (of all places) a blog about consciousness and cats!

“Being fully aware is the first step to consciously living our lives.  It is this awareness that allows us to tune in to our inner guidance, and the more we do that, the more we are able to become deliberate and intentional in choosing our thoughts.

Ultimately, conscious living means making choices that are in alignment with who we really are at our core.  Using our emotions as guidance, we can make choices about everything from the foods we eat to the cosmetics we use to the products we buy for our pets.  The more we make these conscious choices, the more whole our lives will become.  Every choice becomes a conscious expression of our authentic selves in the world.  The more we pay attention to what our inner self really wants and needs, the more congruent our lives become.”

So, living from consciousness means making choices in alignment with who we are at our very core.  Makes sense, yes? But how do you do that if you have no idea who you are at that very core?

I think we all have some sense of that at some level but time, family expectations, peer pressure, crappy self-esteem all wear it down until you find yourself wondering what happened to that little child who wanted to become a doctor or an actor or a therapist. We lose sight of our authentic self at some point.

Living from consciousness means reclaiming that part of us that got pushed aside or away.  It means looking even deeper to see what got in the way of those dreams and doing the hard work to get to where we know we can make them come true in our life.

It is most certainly not the easiest path, I’ll tell you that.  It calls you to look at the bigger picture of what’s going on in your life – what you manifested (for better or worse), who you allow in your energy, and the effects of your actions.  There’s no burying your head in the sand any longer.

But before you can start working with that consciousness you must become aware that you even have it at all. You have to know that it’s there to be able to use it to its fullest potential and for it to become a benefit in our life.

Once you do, though, you come to understand just how powerfully you create your own reality. You see how things move when you focus your intent on a goal and take inspired action.  It never ceases to amaze me which is odd because I know how this works and put it all into motion. Yet, I always feel a sense of awe when things flow together in the right way.

One of the things I help my clients with is moving into a sense of true self-empowerment.  I hold their hand (as my coaches have held mine) as they start to put some of the pieces together.  It really helps to have someone see things a bit more clearly than you can to guide you.  And it helps for someone to be able to see your potential and hold that energy for you to step into.

I’ll confess a secret to you all: I really, really want everyone to be the best they can be.  I do! I think it serves each of us and collectively all of us when we are working from our highest and best self.

Life in a physical body can be hard and there are lots of challenges we set up for our soul when we come here. Every one of them though helps us evolve and grow.  And the more we see how we have arranged things unconsciously, the more we realize the potential of doing it consciously!  Imagine what you could accomplish in your life with some focused intention and aligned action. I’ve seen it not only in my life but in the lives of my clients as well.  Their sense of “I did that? WOW” is so cool to share.

If you’d like to know more about my free 30 minute conscious life creation call, please email me or give me a call at 410-929-5472.  I’d love to work with you to open up into your full and wonderful potential!

Thank you all for listening to me for the past year and a half and I hope you will continue to join me as I evolve, grow and share the stage with AJ.  We’ve got some interesting plans for 2013 and I am looking forward to sharing them all with you.

This is Lisa from Practically Intuitive.com wishing you a lovely and conscious week!  Bye for now!
